john40 Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 Hi all i have a 2.3 gia petrol on a 2001 plate x reg the problem i am having is with the temp gage and fans if i am sat idle for a bit the temp needle rises but the fans dont come on i have changed the thermostat and still no sign of the fans coming on can any one help mew locate the fan switch or fuse pleas thanks Quote

john40 Posted October 5, 2011 Author Report Posted October 5, 2011 Are you saying you haven't got the fuse box by the battery?I do have a fuse box by the battery only it has max 8 fuses in it but there is a relay under it not sure what that does all the fuses in the black box are ok dont seem to find the fan switch any where it looks like a job for an auto elec i think Quote
chrispb123456 Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 The Ford engine models don't appear to have the thermo switch in the radiator but does have a fan control relay, probably what you can see under fuse box, fuse 18 also controls on some models.Have you connected 12 volt straight to the fan(s) to make sure they are working?
